We’re proud to announce that the first title selected for our brand new free-to-attend film club will be Edgar Wright’s (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) eye-popping new film Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
The first ever Grolsch & LWLies Presents event will be coming to London, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Brighton, Bath, Birmingham and Glasgow on Thursday August 19, showing Scott Pilgrim six days before its theatrical release! Bet you didn’t see that one coming.
The film follows the hapless romantic exploits of Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera), an out of work 22-year-old bass guitarist for totally average garage band Sex Bob-omb. Scott’s just met the girl of his dreams, Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), but before he can truly win her heart he must fight and defeat her seven evil exes.
Just as exciting as the film itself is the fact that Wright, one of Britain’s best young filmmakers and a man on a mission to take over Hollywood, will be joining us at the Curzon Soho in London for an exclusive post-film Q&A.
