LWLies 34 Creative Brief – Attack The Block

The challenge for our British sci-fi special is to build your own rocket ship.

Calling all rocket men and women… LWLies 34 is devoted to the past, present and future of British science-fiction with Joe Cornish’s Attack the Block gracing the cover.

There’s tons of fun stuff going on and going in, and we’re also back on the job with the first Creative Brief of 2011.

This year, we want our Creative Briefs to be as inclusive as possible. So for this one, you don’t need some whiz bang Mac loaded with shiny Adobe software. All you need is your regular household tat, some sticky back plastic and loads of imagination.

We want you to build a rocket ship out of whatever you can find lying around at home or in your office. It can be big or small, sophisticated or stripped down, pimped out or low-key. Just make it unique.

We’ve already had a crack in our own office this afternoon. And if this is what we can do in 10 minutes, just imagine how much better yours is going to be.

So get on it, take a picture (no videos please!) and send it to attacktheblock@littlewhitelies.co.uk. The best examples will make it into the mag. Deadline is February 4 2011.
