Son of Rambow: The kids are alright

Related reviews and interviews

Frankly if you grow up with your biggest hero as Rambo, an unemotional killing machine bringing death and chaos wherever he goes, then many interesting conversations with a psychiatrists will probably feature somewhere in your future. Nevertheless the kids in Son of Rambow look like they might turn out OK.

Check this clip to form your own opinion. The film is out April 4.

  • Does anyone know what the deal with the ‘w’ is on the end of Rambo?

  • As much as I love the music videos of Hammer & Tongs, I have serious doubts over Garth Jennings as a feature film director. Hitchhiker’s had some nice (music video-esque) touches, but was ultimately a disappointment, and having seen an advance screening of Son Of Rambow, I’m sorry to have to say that — a few lovely observations and comic scenes aside — it’s not much better, getting lost, as it does, in its own nostalgic whimsy…

    Thoughts?

  • Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy was so disappointing…really lightweight.

I reckon this will be the same, not sure if I’ll actually bother to see it until it’s on DVD., though I’m willing to hear any arguments for seeing this film.
