Spike Jonze guest stars at the LWLies party. Nobody notices.

The Church of London, the creative powerhouse behind both LWLies and our sister surf/skate/snow mag Huck had its Christmas party last night, also marking the coming together of both issues for our Where the Wild Things Are covers courtesy of Geoff McFetridge.

As well as drinks, music and the obligatory conversation, there were special McFetridge artwork postcards and a monster drawing competition.

Then who should turn up but none other than Spike Jonze himself, flanked by fellow filmmaker Chris Cunningham. And guess what? We were too busy gas-bagging to notice. So we haven’t actually got any pictures to show you – you’ll just have to take our word for it… Honest!

Thanks to everybody else who came along. If you missed out, subscribe to our Newsletter for info on our fifth birthday party, which takes place in March 2010 and will be, in a word, explosive.
