Well-known scholar and theologian Paul Verhoeven, has written a new book suggesting that Jesus might have been born of non-consensual union between Mary and a roman soldier. Apparently the book also claims that Judas Iscariot was not responsible for Jesus’ betrayal.
The somewhat ironic title “”Jesus of Nazareth: A Realistic Portrait” could prove to be perfect movie fodder now that Mel Gibson has proved that Jesus is a bankable star. Rumour’s that in the film adaptation, Jesus will actually be portrayed as a monstrous tin-man with a penchant for law enforcement that has a relationship with a mad, bisexual, ice pick-wielding blonde lady, before going to the cross have so far proved unverifiable.
