Blindsight

Open your eyes to the most inspiring documentary of the year.

In 2001, climber Erik Weihenmayer became the first blind man to stand at the summit of Everest. This incredible feat inspired a German educator to invite Erik to Tibet to visit her school, Braille Without Borders, which had rescued many blind children in a country that offers them little but prejudice and poverty.

But Erik had bigger ideas. Assembling his team of guides, they selected six of the children to make their own attempt on Everest’s north slope of Lhakpa Ri. What followed was not just a story of courage and inspiration, but an extraordinary human drama in which everybody had their own mountain to conquer.

The event is guest-listed on a first come first served basis.

Blindsight is released by Spark Entertainment on August 8
