I cant wait to see this, but living were I do I’ll have to wait until its released on DVD.

I prefer Mr vengeance, personally. Mainly due to Kang-Ho Song, who is a brilliant actor. Old boy, on the other hand, I just don’t understand how it became so popular, it didn’t really do anything THAT well other than show American studios how to adapt comic books with a bit of style.

Speaking of Oldboy, wasn’t that supposed to be getting an American remake too?

I did, yeah.

Oldboy was awesome, obviously, but I thought Lady Vengeance was more cleverly put together, with a more interesting plot, and with better visuals. Oldboy looked cool, LV looked beautiful.

It just felt more cohesive to me, and I liked the lead character more. The ending to Oldboy was fun, but it’s heavy-handedness was less enjoyable for me than LV’s sad and quietly unfurling ending.

Would love to see this, but will have to wait til DVD.

Also, totally hacked off that they’re remaking Lady Vengeance, which is my favourite of the Vengeance Trilogy. What a stupid, stupid move, since there was so little to improve upon in the original, and what little there was is unlikely to be bettered by a Hollywood star-fest.
