		<description>It's also a "desperately unoriginal... knock-off" in the sense that it is a Hollywood remake of the Pang brothers' &lt;i&gt;The Eye&lt;/i&gt; (2002) - which was one of the better Asian horrors of its day. The original has already spawned two Asian sequels, so we can probably expect a whole  reimagined American franchise to follow, with all the diminishing returns that such a concept implies...</description>
