  • It must have been so hard to choose a winner – these are all fantastic!

Written by Luke Noel-Storr on November 3rd, 2009 at 16:34

  • Number 3 is the winner for me, all really good though

Written by Laura on November 3rd, 2009 at 16:35

  • Number 1 and 13 are amazing. And I think pretty much all of these are better than the one you chose, which frankly would never have been considered if it wasn't the gimmick of two interlocking magazine covers.

  • 17 it is for me, all are brilliant though

Written by ech on November 3rd, 2009 at 16:41

  • I can't choose my favourite, they are so fantastic. I have to agree that these are superior to the real cover.

Written by Soirore on November 3rd, 2009 at 16:46

  • Hard to choose but I like 16 and 4. Shout out to young Zev though who at the age of 6 can draw better most adults I know.

  • What an incredibly high standard of winners… picking a winner must've been bloody hard!

Written by Jamie on November 3rd, 2009 at 17:32

  • I don't know how you guys managed to pick one, they are all so awesome! Loving number 8 though by Karolin Schnoor!

Written by Ruth Carruthers on November 3rd, 2009 at 17:40

  • Truly fantastic. Quick favourites, 1,14, 10, 9, 3, 1, 14, 15,

14 and 15 and 1 are perhaps my favourites. Just amazing. Surely you've got to do something with this amazing work.

Written by Jon on November 3rd, 2009 at 18:19

  • Good call Jon – we're totally going to do something huge and amazing with these covers, for truly they are huge and amazing. Would anyone prefer to see a people's vote next time we set a 'creative brief' (can't quite get used to using that phrase yet), or are you happy to let us lot keep choosin' the winners?

    Written by LWLies_Danny on November 3rd, 2009 at 18:39

  • Awww, well mine didn't make the final selection, but I still enjoyed working on it. And my friend's work did get selected which was nice to see (no.17. Go Yuki!!). Really strong entries.

Danny: pleased to see you're planning more "creative briefs" in the future. Given the quality of the selected entries this time round, I'm quite happy to let you guys continue selecting the winners, as sometimes people's votes can just be a case of who has the most friends…

Written by Paul Shinn on November 3rd, 2009 at 19:16

  • Awesome. A selection of postcards for sale would be great.

Written by Dan McGrath on November 3rd, 2009 at 19:20

  • Peoples Vote would be nice….

Written by Daniel Haskett on November 3rd, 2009 at 19:23

  • i think you guys should carry on picking the winners – as Paul says, it very often depends on who has the most friends that ends up winning

Written by alex on November 3rd, 2009 at 20:06

  • Also, so happyhappyhappy that two of my friends got their work chosen. Woooo Alex and Devorah!

Written by alex on November 3rd, 2009 at 20:12

  • Some great covers there, mine didn't make it but to be fair it's clearly largely a very high standard!

Written by delarge on November 3rd, 2009 at 21:15

  • WOW! Really amazing talent in that array of entries. Would love to see them all and not just the winners. I think the cover artwork on the magazine is stunning by the way!

Written by Neil Fisher on November 3rd, 2009 at 22:08

  • Yeah I agree really good! An archive of every entry would be class!

Written by Patrick on November 3rd, 2009 at 22:15

  • Mine didnt make it either but …its really great to see how high the standard is…Go Lesley Barnes! Im going to have to do something with mine as I spent ages doing it.

Written by matt on November 3rd, 2009 at 22:21

  • I think a collection of 'tiny white lies' would be great, a small flick through book of the best entries. this should be done for every issue, what a buzz!

Written by Jamie on November 3rd, 2009 at 23:28

  • Any chance of the selected ones receive a copy? That would be fair, wouldn't it?

Written by Tonho on November 4th, 2009 at 14:36

  • To be honest, I was surprised with the 18 covers chosen.

Written by amy on November 4th, 2009 at 15:24

  • AMY – What are you surprised at? The suspense is killing me!

Written by Big Chief on November 4th, 2009 at 21:13

  • From a design point of view, I just wasn't very impressed. I guess they were looking for a wide range of approaches.

Written by amy on November 5th, 2009 at 09:52

  • Woooooooooo, wonderful idea!

Written by Yonomeaburro on November 6th, 2009 at 09:44
